MISSION STATEMENT

The White Mountain Creative Guild (WMCG) is an organization of local artists, writers, photographers, performers and supportive members who are dedicated to furthering creative understanding and fostering creative growth of members and the community at large by promoting interest, education, knowledge and skills in the arts.

The WMCG aims to provide educational and charitable activities and events to enrich and develop awareness and appreciation of the significance of all creative processes. The primary focus is on advancing and providing arts education and awareness for the youth and the general public and in actively seeking venues for local artists to exhibit, showcase and sell their works.

We welcome new members who would be interested and willing to work towards our mission.

Perched atop some very tall and slightly wobbly scaffolding, we paint away.

We used the official Patriots colors for this logo.

2008 Mask Making Workshop

As well as being able to cast molds on their faces, many children also built plaster masks on face forms.

Painting and decorating the masks was a large part of the fun.

All children had the option to lie back and have masks cast on their faces. Almost everyone did it, even the parents!

One young girl studies her progress.

With the tables loaded with beads, feathers, paints and buttons, this four-hour workshop was great fun.

The children proudly display their masterpieces before taking them home. Job well done!

2007 Farmer's Market "Art Booth" with Face Painting

A different art project was offered every week, from peace flags to paper plate masks and rock painting.

The face painting was a great hit with the little ones, and we had a faithful return "clientelle"" every week.

Inspired by Captain Jack Sparrow, many kids enjoyed painted "eyes".

The butterflies were very popular with the girls.
