MISSION STATEMENT

The White Mountain Creative Guild (WMCG) is an organization of local artists, writers, photographers, performers and supportive members who are dedicated to furthering creative understanding and fostering creative growth of members and the community at large by promoting interest, education, knowledge and skills in the arts.

The WMCG aims to provide educational and charitable activities and events to enrich and develop awareness and appreciation of the significance of all creative processes. The primary focus is on advancing and providing arts education and awareness for the youth and the general public and in actively seeking venues for local artists to exhibit, showcase and sell their works.

We welcome new members who would be interested and willing to work towards our mission.

The brainchild of a handful of creative and like-minded people, White Mountain Creative Guild was formed as both a method of support and resource for all creative people and as a community outreach program aimed at bringing the arts to our community's youth. As diverse as we are passionate, we are constantly offering educational workshops and spearheading large projects such as community murals. Although not all of our members live in Bethlehem, we are a subdivision of the Bethlehem Redevelopment Association and work closely with the Colonial Theater and the BES Friends elementary parent group. We know there is a wealth of creative souls in our area and welcome anyone who wishes to participate. Who knows how many children we can touch!

If you would like to subscribe to our newsletter and keep abreast of upcoming events and workshops, please send us an EMAIL and we'll add you to the list.

MONTHLY CHALLENGE

Each month we pose a challenge to ourselves, as both a group and as individuals, to stretch our creativity. At our monthly meetings, members bring in their interpretation of various phrases or themes. Past themes have included "Through a Window", "...if...", "divination" and "haunted".
